I traded my car in for a new one. Due to it being late in the month MFC were unable to stop their debit order from going through. I accepted this as they promised to refund me the installment within 14 working days. I let the payment go through and emailed the request to MFC for a refund. Bongani mailed me and said that MFC do not owe me money as there had been no deduction from my account as the car had been settled. Then an email was sent to me to prove this only to discover that the information that was emailed was for a car that was settled 3 and a half years ago. It appears the email which had the correct vehicle details wasn't read. It is difficult to communicate with MFC as they won't commit to anything they say in writing. I feel insecure that my money is in their possession given their inaccurate response. When I asked advice from MFC they told me to stop payment on the debit order. I called ITC/Transunion to ask if this would affect my credit rating and they said yes-MFC insisted that it wouldn't. All I want MFC to COMMUNICATE with me! Because of their evasive impersonal poor service I will hesitate to finance a car with them again.
