Curious Banker doing ITCcheck when collecting card

I have ordered a replacement card and I have asked the call centre to deliver this to the Scottburgh service branch (KZN) as I'm here at the moment. I was in total shock when I got a sms from TransUnion ITC saying that FNB has done a credit check on me. I then downloaded the report and saw that the branch where I collected the card has done the credit check. It was obviously the banker from who I collected the card. She must have been so curious as to why I have such a big credit card and overdraft limit that she had to do a credit check. This is a very small town and I don't think the people around here really have the credit facilities that we have in Gauteng. This is totally unacceptable. Since when is a credit check performed when you collect a replacement card. I want that credit check enquiry removed from my ITC profile. At the moment I'm applying for a second bond on one of my properties and with the latest unauthorised credit check it seems like I have applied for finance or have tried to increase a limit or something which will negatively effect my application. I will even refer this to the ombudsman if you can't sort this out, as this is unacceptable!
