No Warranty on Polarzed Sunglasses purchased

Advertising

I purchased a Nike - Skylon EXP RD2P Unisex Polarized Sunglasses from the Vuvuplaza site. After a few months the sunglasses started to peel off on the inside of the lens. I eventually decided to write to Vuvuplaza to check the warranty on the sunglasses as my invoice did not specify a warranty period.
I was then sent a mail informing me that the sunglasses was not covered by warranty in spite of it being under 12 months old. I sent another mail to query the warranty period and was then contacted by Nic Latouf the marketing manager who informed me that they purchase the sunglasses directly from overseas hence cannot offer the same warranty that other vendors may offer (Nike offer a 12 month warranty and SmartBuyGlasses offer a 24 month warranty on the identical sunglasses).
As far as he was concerned that was how it was and he ignored all other mail that I sent to him.
As far as I am concerned the site should at least specify the warranty period of their products either on the site or at least on the invoice and I still feel robbed of the R539 I spent on the item.
