Forceful Membership

I was invited to a presentation by a colleague at Shakespeare hotel in Vanderbijlpark, I accepted the invite the invite and took mu husband with me. When we got to the event we were given brochures and we were intrigued by they prices.

However they required us to have a credit card and we did not have one. And advised we were not sure about taking the membership and left. As we were leaving they asked for our debit card as we had advised that's what we have and the representative took the card and copied the card number and said she is going to check if we would be compliant. The next thing we knew we had letters and brochure being sent to us with payment options and a membership number

Now we are being threatened with a court case for something we did not sign up for

we need help, Your assistance in this regard would be much appreciated
