HIDDEN CHARGE FOR CHOOSING USING EDGARS CARD

I have recently booked tickets through the website and was surprised to find that I could use the edgars card as a payment option. After having selected the Edgars card payment option the site indicated that a charge would be levied for using this payment option but no specific amount was shown. Having clicking next and when the payment was processed only then it showed the charge which amounted to 8% of the fare. I understand that a fee should be charge but 8% that is not explicitly disclosed before the fact is a bit excessive. All customers please be aware of such a "hidden charge".
