SAA Warning: do not hand in your cabin luggage

The SAA groundpersonnel at the aircraftdoor insisted that my handluggage goes into the cargohold at Jhb Airport although I flew on two flights from the USA with the small bag as cabin luggage without a problem. Needless to say a great opportunity for the SAA loading personnel to my camera out of that bag. No locks (as it was taken as handluggage), no surveillance cameras and no accountability from SAA for employing. They just pointblank refuse to take responsibility for the actions of their staff. Think twice before you part with your handluggage at the aircraftdoor. SAA does nothing to protect your valuables and could not care if you suffer any loss through by their personnel.
