We were denied boarding last night by Air France check-in agent Carol Waite because she insisted that we (Namibian Passport) require a visa for Cuba, despite our Travel Agent providing the neccessary proof that we do not. Her absolute non-regard for our plight was extremely frustrating. We had to sleep over in Johannesburg just to take up the fight with them again today. We started at 8h00 this morning, after providing them with a letter from the Cuban Embassy that we in fact DO NOT require a visa, and up until now - it is 14h00 we have been given the run around and we are still not sorted on another flight to Cuba. Up to this point we have not been given so much as an apology for the inconvenience caused - they just simply do not take any responsibility and we still do not know if we can travel tonight or not. They have not even offered us as much as a cup of tea or water. When we asked them, since it is completely their fault that we were not allowed to travel, who would re-imburse our expenses incurred and loss of travel time and prepaid accommodation in Cuba, we were told that they cannot comment on this and we should take it up with customer care
