IPhone 5 Contract and bad service

I completed a new contract on the launch day of the new iPhone. I was promised to be put on a waiting list and somebody would call me as soon as there was stock. I waited patiently, once a week, I would pop into the store and enquire and would be told that I remain on the waiting list.

This Monday, I was told that I was number 4 and was asked if anyone contacted me during the day to ask me to come and collect my phone. I was told that I was contacted many times during the day and because they could not reach me, my phone was given away.

I received no phone calls, no missed calls, no voicemails to inform me that the phone arrived. They re-checked my contact number, the manager of the store was unavailable but was told he would phone me the next day. That did not happen.

I phoned the branch and was told it was the manager's decision to give the phone to the next customer on the list. But he will contact me. That has not happened!

I am a NEW customer and was prepared to change my provider. My concerns now is that I once again will not be contacted, after I even gave them a second number, and when will I now receive the phone.
