Disconection

Hi. Its been 3 months now that I've been getting disconnected. I'll go to work and when returning home, I see my modem is disconnected from the web, I use remote desktop software a lot so I see when it happens then can't connect to my home pc. It happens like 4 to 5 times a week. I do a lot of work on the web and its really being an inconvenience for me. I called the call centre and they gave me like half off my monthly payment in February 2013. Since then, the problem still continues! My brother stays - 5km away and has an isp also at afrihost and has no problem with his connection. Please help! Thanks
