@lantic
"Best Effort" stats, but strict overusage billing

Telecommunications

Yesterday, I made use of the Gig4Gig account I have with @lantic. The first 1GB is free,
so I figured If I download 900MB's and watch my usage, I shouldn't exceed 1024MB's.

The problem is, I couldn't watch my usage on the SAIX website or on the @lantic
control panel, because nothing was reflecting. So I made sure to change back
to my regular service provider after the 900mb download completes.

Immediately after disconnecting I found my usage stats had updated and showed
my usage as 1028MB (just 4MB over the limit). Since I did everything humanly
possible to avoid this with the tools supplied by @lantic, I figured that If I contacted
support, I could explain my situation, and ensure that I do not get billed for an
entire GB as a result of a measly 4MB of overusage which was beyond my control
due to @lantic's lack of usable usage stats.

No such luck. My complaints fell onto deaf ears, and it was clear by some of the
responses, that some of your support staff don't even bother to read the entire
message.

I feel it's unfair that your usage stats are "Best Effort", but your overusage billing
doesn't offer any leeway whatsoever for overusage, however slight.
