I cancelled my contract with Vodacom in September 2012 and a few days later on the 3/10/2013 I called them and spoke to Tebogo who transfered me to Nicole who confirmed that the account has been paid off and closed and promised to send me an email either within 48hours or 7 working days but never did.

I recorded this conversation because most of my dealings with Vodacom over the phone have proved to be a nightmare. I asked her to confirm more than twice that the contract was completely cancelled, and she did exaclty that.

Beigining of 2013 I start getting called from a debt collecting company called VVM to advise that my account has been handed over to them and I am indebted to their client. They were quite clueless about the account and I asked them to make a proper enquiry and call me back so that I can find out from Vodacom what this was about.

The calls and emails from their debt collector and the non-satisfactory service from Vodacom is the worst I have ever experienced. I really do not need this nightmare, no one does. I wish to have this solved and done away with, I cannot have a bad financial record because Vodacom cannot service me properly.
