No explanation given - 10 Month old contract

I took my Blackberry 8520 to Norwood as it was hanging and freezing all the time. Today I got a call to come and collect and I was told they could not fix it as it was water damaged. My question is how can a phone be water damaged if it never got into contact with water and PRIYA told me she cant give me any further explanation as she was given that report from their repair centre.

I need CellC to explain that to me - this phone was brought 2012 -15-05 and their history to me. The fact that this cannto be fixed means do I have to continue paying for a phone that is not working. Is this what Cell C does to their customers? sell them 2nd rated items so as to milk out money? I have given PRIYA until Friday 15th to come with a better explanation other than "water damage" as I would not have taken my phone there for repairs should i have let it swim.
