Blackberry Software update

I had a Blackberry Torch with Mtn on an Mtn 200 contract. About 4 months before I was due for an upgrade the App world icon disappeared off the phone. I couldn't do any updates no matter what. I thought that I would wait until I upgraded before I would send it in for a software update.

Now Mtn wants to charge me R2070 for a simple format of the phone which bombed out due to their software updates that was useless.

When I handed the phone in I was told that this will be done free of charge.

I am sure that R70 is more acceptable than R2070. If I knew how poor Mtn's after sales service is I would've waited for the contract to run out. They are ridiculous with their call charges too and lastly I got the Iphone but they forgot to deactivate my BIS meaning extra charges for services I couldn't use.
