Failure to cancel my contract

I took a 3G contract on the 05 Feb 2013 n it did not come with a modem as agreed but I was told that I will get a modem the next day or thursday the latest, but I didn't get it. I discovered that the laptop was faulty as the "@" Button was not functioning and I had to use the semi colon button as a substitute for the " @" button. On (8/02/13) I went to Nashua branch in Braamfontein and reported this to the guy who assisted me when I took the Laptop. I then told him that I wanted to cancel my contract Due to affordability nd the fact that I didn't make and informed decision when taking the Laptop nd I left the device at the branch. Shockingly, I was told that I cannot cancel the contract. I then called the Nashua mobile call centre to find out why I couldn't cancel the contract nd also find out if they don't have a grace period as I had only kept the Laptop for 3 working days. I was transferred from agent to agent when trying to cancel the contract; just to name a few - Nombuso, Martin, Kele, Jolande and Amanda who was supposed to transfer me to her superior, but instead transferred my call to back to the queue where I listened to IVR for literally over 1hour with no answer!!!
