Canceling a 5-year contract

Our company had a rental agreement for five years with Custom Capital for VoIP equipment. Now that the five-year term has finished, Custom Capital informed me that I was supposed to cancel the contract 90 days before it ended. Because I didn't, the contract will now expire on September 30, 2026, and ownership will only transfer after a fee is paid.
