Contract Offers! Telemarketing

Upon being called for probably the 4th time this year by MTN offering me some entry level R99 a month touch screen (not to be a snob but why on earth would I be interested if currently sporting a Galaxy S3), I placed my phone on the desk letting the telemarketer rant on about their supposedly amazing offers and went on with my day as I am usually not the rude type who hangs up... I mean telemarketers have feelings too right?

After making some tea, having a quick chat with one of my managers and polishing off one of my budget calculations at work, I picked up my phone to find that the woman was still going! Seems MTN teaches their staff the ability to talk for extended periods without drawing breath?

I politely managed to get a word in edgeways saying that I am not interested in her offer and that I am happy with my existing phone package. Let me tell you... hath no FURY! The lady proceeded to argue with me that my contract is not acceptable and that my free minutes and data "WILL run out".. maybe MTN teaches their staff telepathy too? At this stage I hung up.

APPEAL TO MTN: If your marketers hear "Im not interested" Please train to say " Thank you have a nice day! "
