Had a contract with Nashua for a Samsung G800 cellphone in 2007. The phone got lost and I put in an insurance claim of which I was asked to pay a certain amount in order for me to get a new cell phone as the contract wanst over the 3 month period. I made all the necessary payments and I was then informed that the model I wanted was discontinued, the Samsung G800 and asked me to choose a new device. I made it clear to them that I was not interested in another device and they then said that my other option was to cancel the contract then I won't owe Nashua anything and they will not give me a new phone. We agreed on that and the contract was cancelled. In 2011 I get a call from their lawyers demanding that I make a payment of R9000 for the contract that was cancelled in 2007 I then explain to the lawyers as to what happened and they gave me Nashua's legal departments number. I spoke to one of their lawyers explaining what happened and he said he will get back to me in a week as he needs to discuss it with his superios, as promised he got back to me and said the matter was settled and I wont have to pay anything. Fast forward to 2014 lawyers call me again wanting money. Sort this out!
