Buy 8ta 3G for Southern Suburbs, CT- NOT Cell C

Be warned that Cell has pathetic interrupted/very inconsistent 3G internet access in the southern suburbs, Cape Town (I live in Newlands).

Since I bought the Giga 200 end of last year, I have had GPRS/EDGE speed for at least 60 % of the time. Here and there it jumps to HSPA and then the up and download speed is fast, (ping - 90 ms, download ave 4 Mbps, upload 2Mbps) but compared to 8ta (I have their 120 G prepaid as well), it is pathetic.

With 8ta I get (ping - 55 ms, download ave 3.8 Mbps, upload 1.7 Mbps), slightly slower - but 24/7.

So rather buy 8ta if interested in 3G internet southern suburbs, Cape Town.

If goes without saying that it is useless trying to phone Cell C to hear what the reason is. Tower problems, this problem that problem, but nothing to help solving the problem.

Note that 2 years ago there was no problem with my CellC 3G internet in Newlands, but since I got the new deal end of last year - PATHETIC.
