Unrecognised Contract Payments

Mtn has not been recognising payments made via deposit at ABSA Bank. Reference i was told to use is my contract cellphone number. Now they have sent me to Legals for oweing them R6000 which is false because i have been paying since July 2012 until October 2012. I stopped because they cannot track the payments and are not willing to help on their side by using the reference number which is the contract number. An employee at MTN informed that there is money floating in MTN account but she cannot say for which contract number. There must another way to track down the payments since deposit slips are not available. I am in angola.
