Crack touch screen

I have a new sony experia z cellphone... fitted lens cover everything to keep my screen clean and safe plus i bought a armor case for it.had it for 2months and just found the touch screen cracked, one would not even notice it if pointed out.it bothered me, so i gave it for repairs at cellc tygervalley, guys told me i will pay for it, because its physical damage and i told them i did not drop or damaged the phone! they booked it in and two weeks later i receive a sms that there is cost to the handheld of the cost of R3600! this is madness, especially if i know i did not brake it.i did contact sony ericsson about his issue and i found no joy, they need to look at it as i know this is not physical damage.i just dont know what to do as a consumer, its very sad that one pay and pay and u do not get a service that u ask for.the phone does not have any marks on the housing, i want u guys to prove to me or show me how does the crack happen.
