Bad Service and Factory Fault

I opened a contract with Autopage, mid January 2013. My contract consists of a Blackberry &a Samsung Tablet. I bought the protec. screen film when I signed the contract a cover for the tablet. The tablet has been looked after &taken care off. One evening I am on my tablet &it just switches off. I try charging it &switching it on but nothing works. I take it in & I am told it will go in for repairs and possibly replaced as this has been happening often. I was phoned by Headoffice & was told that I need to pay R 700.00 something as the battery only has a 6 month warranty. I don't understand how the battery can have only a 6month warranty &why is this not explained to the client when signing the contract to extend the warranty. Furthermore I see this as a factory fault & don't believe that I should be charged for the new battery. I was upset when phoned by Altech but had no alternative but to accept the quote as I am paying to use my tablet but am not usingt it. I told the consultant that I had not choice but to accept the quote. When I went to collect the Tablet at the store it was not repaired. I am very unhappy w/ service and believe I shouldn't pay & annoyed with the consultant.
