I have had a problem on my home phone and logged a fault with Telkom fault reporting. The technician arrived on the 14 November and stated that there was a break in the line cable and replaced the cable. While he replaced the cable he damaged the audio speaker cable that provides sound in my house.

The technician indicated that he didnt have the speaker cable on hand and would obtain cable and replace the damaged cable and re-connect it to the speakers on the saturday 17th November. He did not arrive on the Saturday and attempts to contact him were unsuccessful. I managed to contact him in the new year and he mentioned that he will come through, He hasn't come through yet. I have tried contacting him again without success. On the odd occasion when I did contact him, he states that he will come the next day, yet he does not arrive. I had a problem with my line subsequently and had another technician come through. I requested the technician to provide me with the name of the supervisor of the original technician. The technician stated that there is no need to contact his supervisor and will convey the message to technician that worked on my house initially. This is unacceptable.
