I have been using 8.ta since the day they started and they definitely had some major issues what connectivity and internet speed is concerned, but during the last year I noticed a dramatic change in all this.

We moved all our primary telephone/pbx and adsl lines over to Telkom Mobile and have only experienced 100% communications up-time, clear voice and fantastic internet speeds at work. Their call center is always very competent with helping us with very technical information on setting every thing up. (compared to the usual 'eeee ee sorry sir, we do not deal with the us dollar here, please hold... beep beep...' when you ask a plain question about using their USSD codes.)

I had a vodacom contract for many many years and have only experienced less and less clear voice and very frequent dropped calls (vodacom internet is not too bad to be honest) but as soon as I moved to Telkom Mobile it has been smiles only.

Since I move around in the town and city a lot there are times that the signal falls over to MTN where there are no Telkom towers, but it will generally quickly switch back again. I trust this will also get better soon.
