SOOOO DISSAPOINTED WITH MTN CENTURION

Telecommunications

Good day I have been a loyal customer with MTN for more or less 10 years. In September this year 2013, my daughter received a cell phone (Samsung Pocket) as a gift and not even a month later in October the phone's screen starter to have white lines all over so see could not see anymore. We took the phone to MTN centurion where we filled in a form as the device had to be send in for repairs, though it is still under a year warrantee. On the 29th of October I received and sms from MTN to say that the quote to repair the phone is R580.20 (REF: OSCEN3718763 IMEI) and that you must reply yes to accept and no to reject. Apparently my daughter did reply yes, which I cannot confirm this, but when we phoned to follow up the phone was returned to the store and as per MTN they did not receive any reply from her. I went into the store AGAIN to refill a form for the device to be sent back to the repair centre. On the 1st of November I received a message from MTN and PLEASE NOTE for the exact same device, the device was only handled by MTN, where the quote to repair the device now is R754.58 (REF: OSCEN3743794) SERIOUSLY a brand new phone costs R900.And please why did the price go up???
