Incorrect cancellation

A month ago I cancelled one of my contracts with Autopage. I specified that the cell no concerned was to be made a prepaid no. This morning my daughters cell no was disconnected. (not sure if I am using the correct terminolgy) I contacted the call centre to find out what was wrong. They told me that we had to re RICA the sim card as it was now a prepaid account..(this is not possible) My daqughter went to Vodacom who told her they cannot re RICA the sim. I phoned the call centre again and was told the same story.
I phoned a third time and was then told that the sim had been disconnected.
My daughter uses the sim card and is a letting agent. She is totally dependant on her cell for business. Her no is on the internet, advertising boards and business cards. The message when phoning her number was "this number does not exist" she was not able to be contacted by potential client till 13.26 today. Anyone trying to get hold of her for business, and that heard this message will not contact her again.
I let Autopage know my unhappiness and displeasure at this. I was told "it will be fixed". This is not acceptable.
I demanded an apolgy in writing and verbally.
