I am a young male who enjoys the latest gadget as much as the next guy, living in Soshanguve, Pretoria. I came to Pretoria for work, originally I am from a township east of Rustenburg (Meriting). You might be asking yourself as to the relevance of the past few lines.

Well, let me get to it. I have been using MTN as my services provider for about 2 years now and I am starting to realise a shift in their strategy which concerns me as a South African in the township. It seems like the company has decided to deprioritise the townships in term of internet coverage.

When I am in the city (Pretoria) I have excellent data coverage but the moment I get home I don't experience the same quality of service from the company I pay my hard earned subscriptions fees. At first I thought it was a mere coincidence and disregarded the matter but in the past few months as I travel back and forth between Rustenburg and Pretoria, I've realised that the situation is the same even back home in Rustenburg; the service in the township is very poor whereas in the city/suburbs the quality seems to be a hundred times better.

I am not on a witch hunt. But it seem to me that MTN is living the popular saying t
