Cheated, then made to wait

On behalf of my pensioner father who has been an Autopage customer on the same basic package for 10 years.

1. He drove hundreds of km to Cape Town to process the upgrade
2. An in-store consultant assisted him
3. He got a Sony Xperia Go, which I thought was far above his meagre contract, and far too complicated for him to use.
4. When I tried to assist him in setting up the device it turned out the phone was faulty.
5. We returned it to the store the next day but despite an out-of-box failure and my request that he be downgraded to a more basic handset we were told it could not be done, only swapped out. Yusuf would not entertain going for another device.
6. My father returned home.
7. Only later did he discover that the consultant upgraded his package to one that costs nearly R200 p/m MORE!
8. Yes he signed for it, but the consultant clearly took advantage of the situation seeing that he didn't understand
9. Came all the way back to Cape Town and handed the phone, minus box, to Yusuf.
10. Yusuf said he would have this phone cancelled, contract downgraded, and a basic phone added to the upgrade.

NONE of this has happened in WEEKS.
