Data services not working callcentre unable to fix

I upgraded my contract and phone on 4-9-2013. It is a MTN Anytime 200 contract with an S4 mini phone. The S4 only takes a microSIM so as part of the upgrade I had to get a new SIM.

After inserting the new SIM into the new phone and applying the configuration settings as received the voice and SMS worked fine but the data would not work.

2013-09-06: The callcentre was very helpful (Kobus) but did not manage to solve the problem. He did pick up that a unrelated simswop had taken place on my number, apparently not from Nashua Mobile, which is worrying in itself given the sim-swop bank taking place. He corrected that issue with the help of a colleague (Hardus), but the data issue persisted. Kobus asked me to go back to the shop and request a new SIM. The SIM card also had the same issue in a different phone that I tried.

2013-09-07: I did so the following day. New SIM card, same problem.

2013-09-09: Phoned the call-centre again after the weekend and spoke to Hardus. Asks me to request the MTN configuration for the new sim via USSD code. Did that. Same problem. Hardus claims the problem has to be with the SIM card or the phone. 2 SIM cards, 2 phones. No solution in sight.
