I lost my phone on Saturday (2013/09/07) around 6pm, i phoned mtn to request them block my number, i was told that they cant block my number, they only block contract numbers not prepaid.the only way to block my number is to do a sim swap.the shops were already closed and i couldnt get any sim card.i had to wait for the following day to do a sim swap in order for my number to be blocked. I was very dissapointed because the person who my phone could have done with my number while i am waiting for the following day to get a new sim card. I feel that this process is not fair and useless.again sunday morning i went to boulders to do a sim swap, i was asked to give 4 cell phone numbers which i had on the phone before they can assist me and i gave them the numbers i know by heart and they said they are not the one showing on their system. How am i supposed to know all the numbers on my phone by heart and what if the person who my phone dialled the numbers i dont know. I was so frustrated by the lost phone and MTN frustrated me more. The service i got from mtn was horrible.
