HANDED OVER FOR CANCELLED SUBSCRIPTION

I received an e-mail from Neotel's debt collectors, Macrobert Attorneys, that my account has been handed over due to non payment. I cancelled my account with Neotel on 19 June 2013 (Account number R000423317). I e-mailed a cancellation letter and received an automated response confirming receipt. I then phoned to confirm that all is in order with the cancellation and was told very sarcastically that if I received the automated e-mail, it means the cancellation will be processed. I should have known better - this is Neotel, after all!

I have been waiting for Neotel to contact me to find out why the account is not being paid, as I have never missed a payment before. When I try and contact the attorneys, all I hear on the other end of the line is music and my call is not answered. The attorneys are now threatening that I will be blacklisted because of this. My credit record is excellent. If this affects it in any way, I will not hesitate to take action against Neotel.

I expect to be contacted today for this mess to be cleared.
