Upgrade

Upgraded last year, decided to go and look when I can upgrade again, to my surprise it says 2015 only! So I don't really understand what happened there! So I went into a shop and it said the same there! So I asked why, they then told met that my contract was prematurely upgraded by a year! So I don't understand why they did that? Or how they even can do that?
