Don't switch! Pathetic network and poor service

I switched from Vodacom to Cell C in March 2013. I run 3 businesses, and was attracted to the 99c per minute rate for myself and my business partner; we had good expectations now that Alan Knott Craig runs the company.

We are shocked by the poor network infrastructure, and feel that ICASA should revoke licenses to companies like this, who are not network ready but still offer a service.

- My phone is offline more than online, with the "No Service" line showing where there should be signal.
- Data services on the phone are slow or non existent
- When people call me, it goes straight to voicemail and I have been losing business as a result
- About 80% of the calls I try to make are either dropped; or do not connect because the signal is too low
- My business partner and I cannot call each other, as a Cell C to Cell C call rarely holds up for more than 2 minutes. We usually call each other on our wives' phones.

I logged 3 calls with the call centre since March, and have logged two calls at a Cell C shop. All parties have promised to get back to us, but never do.

This cellphone service is Pathetic. I urge friends: Don't switch! Unfortunately cheap calls at 99c mean poor service.
