My contract was cancelled by Cellc due to non payment for 3 consecutive months. Firstly I dispute this, as I have always paid my account. In August 2012 I received an account for R800 which I disputed with Cellc as my sim card was not in use. I had taken the contract out 5 years ago for my daughter and for the handset only as she already had a sim card with Vodacom and she was very happy. So for the last 5 years I have only paid the monthly subscription fee of R141.05. So in August 2012 when my bank account was debited with R800 I queried this with Cellc & subsequently had the transaction reversed at the bank. Whilst I appreciate that CellC's actions maybe well within in their rights, what about mine? I did not receive a call, a sms or correspondence to advise that the contract had been cancelled & the amount due. How could I have responded to this action if I WAS NOT INFORMED. I had to find out when the collection agency sms'd me to contact them. I have sent CellC 2 emails & spoke to a very rude call centre agent and to date I 'm still not in possession of any statement, invoice or any communication regarding this account. I have to now hope and pray that I don't get listed.
