On 5/05/2013, I applied for a new contract with Cell C for the Samsung Galaxy 10.1 & Samsung S3 special. The rate for the package was advertised as R669. When capturing the contract details on the system, the consultant Angelique indicated that the special was not loaded on the system. She then proceeded to load the tablet and the cellphone separately and indicated that she will call head office to give a discount on the contract because when loaded separately the two devices cost R699.

A week later she then requested me to come to the shop as head office indicated to her that the contract I had taken should be cancelled and she will then reload a new contract as the system has been fixed to accept the special. She then proceeded to cancel the contract and loaded the amended contract at the reduced rate.

To my surprise, Cell C took R6500 from my bank account. When I called they indicated to me that I had cancelled a contract and was liable to pay the cancellation fee. I have tried to resolve this issue with both the head office and the store and they send me from pillar to post. To make matters worse, this means I'm being charged twice for one device.
