CONTRACT CANCELLATION NOT EFFECTED

Good day,

I have called the Virgin Mobile SA on the 03/05/2013 to cancel my contract before time, i was told about the terms and conditions (the dates and the costs involved) and i agreed to all of them (spoke to Mandi)
Today when i called them again to verify if the changes are effective i was told that there's nothing captured on the system for me as their system was down on the day i called them, so i have to put if another 30 days notice.
It does not look like they want me to cancel my contract, and previously my contract was auto renewed without my consent and i dealt with it but this time around i can not

Please assist me
