Charged connection fee to renew contract

I recently renewed my contract, i was told that there will be and admin fee of R100 that i would need to pay which is normal across the networks. I paid the admin fee and completed the documentation. When i received my statement i see i have been charged a connection fee that i was not informed about. I have renewed contracts with Cell C and MTN and this connection fee for renewal is a first for me. How can you charge a client for renewing their contract with you. Do your-ll not want the business from the current clients, your service is pathetic.
