What a terrible experience, in December Bankmed announced the Vitality change, advising all customers to either switch or make another plan with their gym contracts. I phoned Multiply the call centre there was useless (should maybe also log a complaint for them) but basically got shunted between bankmed, multiply and Virgin active with no-one really being able to explain how the "lifetime"membership fee I paid for my family to be part of Virgin Active is now no longer valid - due to this change! My understanding of lifetime was exactly that. Anyway after huge frustration and waiting to get through to a call centre agent at Virgin (3 separate calls - totalling 27 mins waiting to speak to someone) the agent confirmed that my contract had been cancelled. Today my husbands cr card (HOW DID YOU EVEN GET HIS INFO???) Was debited R539 for a contract that has been cancelled, for a contract I paid a lifetime membership fee for. We did not even have to pay monthly debit orders... How does this happen? I also logged a query with the manager at Brightwater commons 2 and a half days ago - guess what - no response yet... I want to be refunded the R539 and my "lifetime"membership fee.
