On the 14 November I completed an online form reporting a problem at one of the gyms (N1City) and requesting someone from head office to call me as it is pointless complaining at the gym as nothing gets done. It turns out nothing gets done if you complain at head office either.
I then commented their Facebook page and I got a generic response which lead to nothing. I then tweeted which also got a generic response and lead to nothing.
The point of all this is that Virgin Active needs to change the unhygienic hand grips on the treadmills at N1 city. The plastic covering of the sponges is broken and the sponge is exposed. People using the treadmills are sweating over it / holding on to it and the sponge absorbs the sweat. It is so bad that it stinks and don't forget it is unhygienic. How can a gym expect its members to share machines in this state and then tell me this is acceptable? Further to that I was told I cant compare N1 City to Century City and that the hand grips cant be replaced as it is not in the budget.
