Failure to extend contract

Dear Peter,

My wife, my two sons (fulltime students) and I are members at the Planet Fitness gym at Cobblewalk, Durbanville. ( membership numbers: DU32106, DU32107, DU32108)
Our membership have been paid up for three years.

In January, 2013 the gym burned down and we have been trying ever since to freeze our contracts from the time the gym burned down until it re-opens, even filling in the forms they have provided. We have only recently received an e-mail stating that our contracts cannot be frozen. We were told to use any of the other Planet Fitness gyms, but it is not practical for us to do so.

We feel that it is not due to anything that we have done that we could not use the gym for all this time and the gym could at the very least extend our contracts for the time that it is closed.

We need some help PLEASE!
