Useless administration and contract conduction

I joined the gym for a 12 month contract.
The facilities were less than adequate but I attended weekly non the less.
A month before my contract was due to end I checked the contracts fine print to see if I had to give notice that I would not be renewing the contract or not. It clearly stated that the contract would not self renew. I called the office of the gym anyway just to confirm I would not be renewing my membership. I spoke with JAne and she seemed to have understooD. However a 13th month debit order came off my account 2months later. I called and spoke to jane once again who said that was the out standing fee. I said there was no mention of a fee in the contract or in our previous call and that I would reverse the debit order. I reversed the debit order and put a stop to any further ones. Months later I get a call from a debt collector threatening to black list me if I did not pay an "outstanding" amount to the gym. The amount was more than what they had originally called a fee. I paid the amount.
The administration and conduct of accounts within the gym is corrupt and severely mismanaged. Mark my words, this gym will find a way to you.
