So..I wanted to get myself a new car and they told me that I needed to get
credit on my name somehow since you cannot make debt if you don't have
debt. So I went to Edgars to open an account for myself. They put you on
the phone with someone who asks you a bunch of questions like how much do
earn, what is your monthly expenses, yada yada. Now this is where the fun
begins: first of all I still don't know the lady's name to whom I talked
to on the phone since she was mumbling so much that I could not hear a
thing she was saying, secondly when she asked what nationality I am she
had no clue what R.S.A meant (which is Republic of South Africa, by the way,
in other words I am from South Africa, duh). Thirdly and most important
of all her mumbling lead to a huge misunderstanding so my application was
denied and now I can't make ANY debt ANYWHERE for the next 3 MONTHS when I
urgently need a new car since I already sold mine. Nice to know we have
clever, competent people doing their jobs
