Rude, bad attitude and empty promises

I ordered items online on the 14th of December 2012 for a birthday on 15th of January. Mariette said that it would arrive by then as once its on the ship the holidays are not relevant and will not delay the process over Christmas.
On the 5th of Feb I contacted her and asked her what the status was, she replied that she rushed to the post office that morning as someone else was trying to collect the parcel, the post office had already returned to sender (her). A week later the package was still not with her, so she offered to refund me. After many sms's and phone calls where she kept making excuses I was eventually refunded on the 18th April 2013. 4 months later.
She was very rude saying that she is not responsible for any of this. Then saying its a 30 day refund policy, i.e. 7th March it should have been in my account, then that it was my fault that I sent an sms not an email with my banking details... The list goes on!
