Lack of running shoe sizes

I went to totalsports melrose arch today looking for a new pair of running shoes. To my surprise, they only have 1 pair of neutral running shoes in a size 12 and that is a minimal pair. How can a big store like totalsports not have a size 12 neutral running shoe in stock??
