Store hazards causes major inconvenience

Shops, Products, Services

On Sunday, 7 April, 2013 at approximately 2:30pm, whilst browsing through Edgars Cresta, I stepped onto a tack lying pin-up on the store floor, which pierced straight up through my pump shoe and deep into my foot, which was incredibly painful. Apparently this is a common occurrence due to shoplifters removing the security tags and tacks. I had reported it immediately to the staff on the floor who contacted the store manager, Johannes; who advised me to leave my details with the staff, informing me that the process is that I get medical attention and send Edgars the medical bills. I was given the back of a till slip to leave my name, cell & home address details. A nearby nurse in the centre advised that I get a tetanus shot within 72 hours. I now have to get a tetanus shot tomorrow, which is an absolute inconvenience; and I have a hole in my expensive Woolworths pumps, which I can never use again, due to the unsafe conditions in an upmarket store that Edgar's prides itself to be. This was a painful, costly, time-consuming, inconvenient experience.
