On 08/02/2013 I purchased a Defy hob & oven on special. I did not open the packaging until 25/03 as I have been waiting to install the stove as a surprise for my wife and was waiting until she was away from home. In the meantime I have been renovating my kitchen and had bought materials to modify my cupboards for my new built-in stove.

When I opened the packaging I discovered that my hob was a Ceran Slimline NCP and that the oven was a 600SE. These are mismatched as neither has a control for the hob.

I went into the store and spoke telephonically to the AV Manager. He initially was only willing to offer a refund on my purchases. This would have left me as a very unhappy customer without a stove. I complained via the PnP call centre and Rudi 'improved' his offer to give me a 600 U oven at 'cost' price. Meaning I would have had to pay in an additional R800. I telephoned around for prices & found the 600 CP hob at Hirsch's on special for a similar price. I bought this hob and returned the NCP hob to PnP Hyper. When I returned the hob, Rudy had a bad attitude and did not even offer an apology. In addition to my disappointment, I wasted considerable time and petrol on this exercise!
