Checkers & Checkers Hypers
ALL meat bought was off and disgusting!!!

We went camping and enroute to our destination we stopped at Checkers Ermelo to purchase our meat and groceries for the 4 day break away.

We purchased approx. R 480 worth of meat with a total bill of close to R 800. That evening with the first braai we realised that the boerewors was completely off. We throw that away and took the chicken, to our surprise that was also off. We looked at all the expiry dates and all was within the due dates.

To our shock, ALL meat purchased that afternoon was off. Ribs, boerewors, chicken etc. it was so disgusting!

On our return we contacted the Ermelo Checkers and they just had a bad attitude off "sorry, no evidence no assistance'!! They were not even interested in our story and expected us to keep the meat for a week on our return to them.

I contacted the call centre and also the same attitude, if we do not have evidence they will not even look into the matter. The call centre manager I demanded to speak to even refused to give me a referance number and just advice that someone will contact me.

That is the worst experience I ever had. Shocking!!

Please people be careful before considering purchasing meat products from Checkers!
