Bought rotten pork at Checkers

On the 23rd of Feb we were at West coast mall to do shopping. We bought a few items, including a Pork fillet to braai with friends we were staying with at Saldanha. Later that day at our friend's house, all the meat was taken out to marinade. As soon as my friend's wife took the pork fillet out of the plastic, she smelled something funny. When I went to check it out, the pork fillet was definitely rotten. I saw the expiry date said the same day 23rd of Feb. She then put the pork fillet in a plastic bag, so that I could return the next day, because it was already too late. Later the evening the whole house started to smell because of the rotten fillet, so we decided it is not worth it, because the smell was becoming unbearable. This was very embarrasing experience for us. Terrible practice from the food manager. I still have the slip in question. We stay in Brackenfell, About 135km from the mall.
