Pre-paid electricity disaste

Shops, Products, Services

On 03/02/2013 we bought R1000 worth of pre-paid electricity. The gentleman that helped us clearly had difficulty using the system. When we asked about our 100 free units - he stated that we only get that if we buy more than R2000. (Checkers at Northmead Square)
So on 16/02/2013 we bought another R1000 pre-paid electricity @ Checkers Bardene. We asked the lady if she loaded the free units and she said she did. However; there was again no slip for the free units.
When we tried to make an enquiry about this at the counters we were told:-
1) we should have asked on the third - which we did but we were told we bought too little to qualify for the free units.
2) the lady that helped us the second time was just no where to be found and the new attendant said she is unable to help.

So now we are running short of units for this month as I "lost" my 100 free units. I feel that someone "" these units and I would like to know what happened to them as we always received them but suddenly this month there is a problem? Is there a problem because the first attended had absolutely no idea what he was doing?

Seriously doubting the competency of these money market counters :(
