PEELING OF COVER ON BLACKBERRY 9320

I bought my pink blackberry 9320 from Edgars in September 2012. I was offered the cellphone insurance with Finrite that I also accepted.
I have been having problems with my phone where it switches off by itself although the battery is fully charged.
Last week, the back over has started to peel (although I store the phone in an original blackberry cover).

On Saturday I approached Edgars Galleria for help. The cellphone counter was very busy with only one person in attendance. After a long wait, the staff said that they have had many complaints about this phone but there's nothing they can do about it and neither will Finrite be able to assist as my phone is not insured for this purpose. I realise that this the fault with Blackberry however surely this can be escalated for the customers. My phone is only 5 months old and its not fair that we, the public have to deal with the poor quality of cellphone produced.

I cannot believe I was turned away without help.
