Potatoe chips smelling and tasting like fish

I purchased some fresh chips at the oxford supermarket in bluff. The chips had a fishy smell and taste. The only explanation for this is that they are frying the chips in the oil which they had fried the fish, which I think is really disgusting. Wat if I was a vegetarian or I was fasting! I was already far away when I tasted the chips or I would have returned to the store and when I'm dialling the number on the slip theres no answer. After tellin a work collegue about the incident he told me that he had the same problem a week ago.
